They have created a program BY THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE and it’s free to adopt. They put their volunteerism and their labor of love to work for people rather than causes!

Fire Fighter Cancer Foundation

Fire fighters dedicate their lives to the service of others. The Fire Fighter Cancer Foundation was established to provide international outreach, support, and resource assistance programs for fire fighters and family members that are stricken by cancer. The Foundation is creating state of the art programs for cancer education, awareness, and prevention to ensure the quality of life and retirement of fire fighters around the world.

SF Firefighters Toy Program

The San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program, run by the SF Fire Fighters Union, Local 798, is the city’s largest and the nation’s oldest program of its kind. Since 1949, it has evolved from a few firefighters repairing broken toys and bikes for 15 families to over 300 firefighters and friends volunteering their time to distribute over 200,000 toys to more than 40,000 disadvantaged children year-around.

National Fallen Firefighters Foundation

The United States Congress created the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to lead a nationwide effort to remember America’s fallen firefighters. Since 1992, the tax-exempt, nonprofit Foundation has developed and expanded programs to honor our fallen fire heroes and assist their families and coworkers.
